Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RAD systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Perform routine system checks and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum age 18 with U.S. citizenship or legal residency
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal/written)
- Proficient in multitasking under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn specialized software
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
