Responsibilities
- Operate multi-line telephone and radio systems to receive emergency calls
- Dispatch police units using CAD software and radio protocols
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Perform data entry and manage sensitive information in RMS systems
- Participate in ongoing training to master dispatch procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- No felony convictions
