Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems with provided equipment
- Dispatch field units via radio communication systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other agencies during critical incidents
- Operate emergency alert systems and notification platforms
- Participate in scenario-based training simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Proficiency with computerized systems (training provided)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Clear verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 18 years of age
