Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RAD systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, concise information to first responders
- Operate radio equipment during high-pressure situations
- Assist in training new dispatchers
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid KY driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and voice stress test
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency (typing test required: 35+ WPM)
- No felony convictions
- Shift flexibility (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
