Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to emergency scenes
- Maintain detailed radio logs and incident reports
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and NCIC databases
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Remain calm and professional under extreme pressure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 35+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear criminal background and drug-free
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to pass psychological and polygraph examinations
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Basic computer proficiency
