Responsibilities
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate emergency responses
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services using CAD software
- Maintain accurate logs of all calls and incidents
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Utilize provided equipment for crisis intervention and resource allocation
- Train on multi-agency coordination protocols
- Perform data entry and record-keeping duties
- Participate in ongoing equipment training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer proficiency with typing skills (35+ WPM)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass dispatcher certification training program
- Experience in customer service preferred
