Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls, assess situation urgency, and dispatch appropriate resources
- Operate radio systems, CAD software, and emergency notification platforms
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and provide real-time updates to field units
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (fire, EMS, hospitals) during critical incidents
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Participate in ongoing training for emergency procedures and system upgrades
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Valid NC driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass criminal background check and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Strong situational awareness and multitasking capabilities
