Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate radio communication systems and dispatch appropriate units
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications
- Remain calm under pressure during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and first responders
- Complete training modules and certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 35 WPM)
- Excellent communication and listening abilities
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- No felony convictions
