Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (fire, EMS) during emergencies
- Provide critical instructions to callers during crisis situations
- Operate complex communication equipment under pressure
- Update and maintain confidential incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Calm demeanor under high-stress emergency situations
