Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services with precise information
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide life-saving instructions during critical incidents
- Operate radio systems and multi-line telephone equipment
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during complex emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screen
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (tested during process)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency
