Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate multi-line phone systems and radio equipment following protocols
- Input and retrieve information from law enforcement databases
- Remain calm under pressure during critical incidents
- Coordinate resources and personnel during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation
- Work collaboratively with first responders and community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (30+ WPM preferred)
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Must be at least 18 years old
