Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS units using radio and CAD systems
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and ethical standards
- Participate in ongoing training and drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Exceptional verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (30+ WPM)
- Flexible availability for rotating shifts/nights/weekends
- No felony convictions
