Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and compassion
- Operate CAD systems and radio communication equipment during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate resources between police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and digital records
- Perform multi-channel communication during high-pressure scenarios
- Adhere to NJ Public Safety Telecommunications standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong situational judgment and decision-making skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- US citizenship or legal resident status
