Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Operate radio communication systems to dispatch police units efficiently
- Enter and maintain accurate data in CAD and RMS systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor multiple channels simultaneously during critical incidents
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during large-scale events
- Complete all training modules and certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual a plus)
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
