Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field units
- Enter/update critical information in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during crisis situations
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Document all communications and incident details precisely
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
- Experience with computer systems and data entry
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred
- Ohio driver's license required
