Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and professionalism
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide critical information to field units during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (EMS, Fire, PD) during complex incidents
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage caller stress and anxiety
- Participate in rigorous training programs to develop advanced skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- US citizenship or legal residency status
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multi-tasking abilities under high-pressure conditions
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
