Responsibilities
- Process high-volume 911 calls with calm professionalism and rapid decision-making
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Maintain accurate incident logs and prepare detailed written reports
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergency situations
- Operate radio equipment and maintain secure communications channels
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship or permanent residency status
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Type minimum 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
