Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and identify potential security threats
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activities with appropriate protocols
- Operate complex security equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing TSA regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain vigilance against evolving security threats and report suspicious items
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass extensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Clear communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- No felony convictions and clean employment history
