Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide critical information to officers and other first responders
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Multi-task during high-pressure situations while maintaining composure
- Coordinate with fire/EMS agencies during multi-agency incidents
- Complete all required training modules within specified timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy and typing proficiency (40+ WPM)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Texas driver's license
- No felony convictions
