Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch appropriate personnel (police, fire, EMS) based on call priority protocols
- Maintain precise radio communications during critical incidents
- Update and manage active incident logs in real-time
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers
- Train on NENA/NG911 standards and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License upon hire
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- No felony convictions; clean background check
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and polygraph
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and multi-tasking technology
- Strong situational judgment and conflict resolution skills
- Must complete 40-hour EMD certification within 6 months
