As a Police Dispatcher, you will serve as the lifeline between our citizens and our law enforcement officers. You will answer emergency and non-emergency calls, monitor police radio communications, and coordinate the response of police units to incidents throughout Greensboro. This is a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where your skills in communication and decision-making are critical.

Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical units to incident scenes.
- Monitor police radio frequencies for officer status updates and requests for assistance.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Provide vital information to responding officers to ensure their safety.
- Perform clerical duties and assist with general department operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type accurately and maintain composure under stressful situations.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Background check and drug screen required.
