Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and compassion
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in CAD systems
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Multi-task during high-pressure situations with composure
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
- Complete all trainee curriculum requirements within designated timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency (tested during application)
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn specialized software
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
