Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency situations using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units and coordinate with fire/EMS agencies during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation per department protocols
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols
- Operate multi-channel radio systems during high-pressure scenarios
- Collaborate with state agencies during major incidents and disaster responses
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and drug screening
- Excellent multitasking skills under extreme pressure
- Clear diction and fluency in English (Spanish fluency preferred)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
