Responsibilities
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate emergency response units
- Process 911 calls and prioritize dispatches based on urgency protocols
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Coordinate with multi-agency responders (fire, EMS, CHP)
- Manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality standards
- Complete mandatory training modules for certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified by test)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Must pass pre-employment medical and psychological evaluations
