Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections when necessary
- Operate security equipment including walk-through metal detectors and explosive trace detection systems
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and security threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Minimum age of 18 at time of application
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Clear verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or outstanding warrants
