Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain accurate radio logs and computer-aided dispatch records
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with multiple agencies including police, fire, and medical services
- Operate communication equipment per established protocols
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Complete all required certification training within probationary period
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to type 35+ WPM
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Must be US citizen or legal resident
