As a trainee, you'll develop expertise in multi-agency coordination, crisis management, and cutting-edge dispatch technology. Responsibilities
- Process 911/311 calls with exceptional speed and accuracy during emergency situations
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and radio logs
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers in distress
- Operate multi-channel radio systems during critical incidents
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during major emergencies
- Participate in continuous scenario-based training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear articulation and exceptional listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress situations
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
