Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police, fire, and medical units
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update information in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Document all communications accurately in compliance with NIMS protocols
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Clear speaking voice with excellent articulation skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Missouri driver's license
- No felony convictions
