Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD systems with precision and urgency
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident documentation in RMS databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Operate radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid California Driver's License
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified test required)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear diction and exceptional active listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows/Mac OS)
