Responsibilities
- Process incoming 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police officers, fire units, and medical personnel using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio systems during emergency situations
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC database for warrant and suspect verification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Valid Nevada driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingualism highly desirable)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
