Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services units to active incidents.
- Monitor and operate multi-channel radio communications and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident logs and status reports.
- Provide critical information and directions to callers to ensure their immediate safety.
- Collaborate with field units and other agencies to coordinate responses effectively.
- Maintain composure and professional demeanor during high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screening, and medical evaluation.
- Basic typing skills (minimum 35 WPM recommended).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
