Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services to appropriate locations.
- Utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to track unit status and location.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all calls and dispatches.
- Communicate effectively with field personnel and other dispatch centers via radio.
- Provide information and assistance to the public regarding police and fire services.
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Nevada Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
