Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional situational awareness
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and radio systems during critical incidents
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers and field units
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Perform data entry and maintain confidential information securely
- Participate in continuous training to enhance emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy and multitasking capabilities
