Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency 911 calls, fire calls, and non-emergency requests for service.
- Monitor and operate radio communications systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical units.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services to specific locations and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all calls, incidents, and dispatch activities.
- Provide information and assistance to the public, other agencies, and law enforcement personnel.
- Update computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems with real-time status information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid California Driverβs License is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
