Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and professionalism
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate emergency response units
- Enter and update critical information in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone during medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (will be tested)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
