Responsibilities
- Answer and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public or other agencies.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel to calls for service.
- Monitor police radio frequencies and maintain situational awareness.
- Enter and update incident reports and dispatch logs accurately and efficiently.
- Provide vital information to officers and citizens during emergencies.
- Assist in the training of new dispatch personnel upon completion of the trainee program.
Qualifications
- No prior law enforcement or dispatch experience is required (we provide training).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to type at least 35-40 WPM with high accuracy.
- Valid Driver's License in the State of Florida.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
