Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Utilize CAD systems for incident documentation and resource dispatching
- Maintain accurate logs and confidential incident reports
- Provide critical information to first responders during crisis situations
- Multi-task efficiently during high-pressure scenarios
- Adhere to all NIMS and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during application process)
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- No felony convictions
