Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls, accurately assess situations, and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, radio equipment, and 911 infrastructure
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents using digital record-keeping systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents and natural disasters
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor radio channels for real-time updates and maintain situational awareness
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer systems
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and New Mexico residency required
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
