Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain accurate radio communication during critical incidents
- Input and retrieve data from CAD systems and NCIC databases
- Provide life-saving instructions via telephone during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Document all communications and actions in compliance with protocols
- Train on specialized equipment and software systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Arizona driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Experience with computer-aided dispatch systems preferred
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual strongly preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
