Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units to incidents using CAD systems
- Monitor radio communications and maintain contact with field units
- Enter and update information in law enforcement databases
- Provide critical assistance during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Collaborate with other emergency services (EMS, Fire)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure
- U.S. citizenship and residency in Erie County
