Responsibilities
- Answer 911 and non-emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and communication systems
- Remain calm under extreme pressure during emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- No felony convictions
