Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch appropriate police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field units
- Enter and update case information in digital records
- Provide critical incident instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Operate emergency equipment per protocol
- Complete detailed call logs and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
