Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during emergency situations
- Provide clear instructions to callers during crisis scenarios
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and telephone systems
- Complete all required training modules within specified timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer proficiency with data entry experience
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
