Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for Tennessee agencies
- Research and draft policy briefs, reports, and recommendations for state officials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement evidence-based solutions
- Monitor federal and state policy trends affecting Memphis metropolitan area
- Present findings to stakeholders including legislators and community leaders
- Manage data collection and statistical analysis for policy evaluation
- Advise on budget implications of proposed policy changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Tennessee state government operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public speaking
- Master's degree preferred for senior roles
