Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and packages with 99% accuracy
- Operate mail processing machinery and handle automated sorting systems
- Load/unload postal vehicles safely and efficiently following OSHA protocols
- Deliver mail and parcels along designated routes on foot or by vehicle
- Collect outgoing mail from collection boxes and customer locations
- Maintain delivery records and resolve customer inquiries promptly
- Adhere to strict USPS security procedures and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with team members during peak mail seasons and holidays
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (required)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (for vehicle routes)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems and digital documentation
