Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently and accurately.
- Operate mail sorting equipment and automated machinery according to safety guidelines.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles and sorting carts.
- Organize mail by route, zip code, or destination to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and postal regulations.
- Assist in training new hires and supporting team operations during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Excellent vision (corrective lenses allowed) and hearing ability.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) preferred but not always required for entry-level handling roles.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
