Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Sort and organize mail and parcels before delivery to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering inquiries and resolving delivery issues.
- Observe safety regulations and maintain a high level of physical stamina to walk and lift packages regularly.
- Manage a cash drawer accurately for Express Mail and Registered Mail transactions.
- Adhere to all USPS operational procedures and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status with the ability to pass the citizenship test.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently in varying weather conditions.
