Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communication campaigns for county initiatives
- Manage media relations and coordinate press conferences
- Create compelling content for digital/social platforms
- Analyze public sentiment and adjust messaging strategies
- Collaborate with department heads on crisis communications
- Organize community outreach events and town halls
- Track media coverage and generate performance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 3+ years of professional communications experience
- Proven crisis management and media relations expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms
- Strong writing/editing skills with portfolio samples
- California driver's license (must maintain throughout employment)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
