Responsibilities
- Manage municipal pension fund investments and actuarial reporting
- Develop annual city budgets with multi-year forecasting
- Ensure compliance with GASB and Colorado state finance regulations
- Lead capital improvement project financial planning
- Collaborate with department heads on resource allocation
- Prepare financial statements for city council review
- Oversee debt issuance and bond portfolio management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years in municipal finance or pension management
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) certification
- Experience with Colorado PERA or public pension systems
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software
- Knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes Title 29
- Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
