Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines
- Manage budget allocation for health programs and emergency preparedness
- Coordinate immunization campaigns and health screenings across Detroit communities
- Lead crisis response for public health emergencies (e.g., disease outbreaks)
- Analyze health data to identify disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Supervise 15+ staff members and cross-functional health initiatives
- Forge partnerships with hospitals, nonprofits, and state health departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health management experience
- Michigan Public Health Administrator certification required
- Proven track record in grant writing and program evaluation
- Expertise in health equity initiatives and culturally competent outreach
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in EHR systems
- Valid Michigan driver's license
